Hadrien Baudot (1989) began his vocal training as a tenor with Tatiana Trenogina and continued his studies with Cécile Bolle. He then studied at the academy in Leuven under Bart de Kegel. He also broadened his experience through various masterclasses, including those with Marcel Vanaud and Lionel Lhote. He sang both choral and solo roles at the Lyric Studio in Leuven and at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Charleroi. He has performed roles in Verdi’s ‘Simon Boccanegra’ and ‘Don Carlo’, as well as in Mozart’s ‘Die Zauberflöte’, Rossini’s ‘The Barber of Seville’Il Barbiere di Siviglia’ and Offenbach’s ‘Les Contes d’Hoffmann’. In 2025, he also sang the role of Don José in Bizet’s ‘Carmen’ and has served as a guest tenor at the Opéra Royal de la Wallonie since that year.
In addition to singing, Baudot is also active as an actor, director and producer in various opera and theatre productions. He has founded no fewer than three companies of his own. His theatre company, Trivial Muffins, established in 2014, is a well-established name in Leuven. The production ‘Mozart’, directed by Baudot himself, earned them both the Landjuweel Prize 2022–2023 for best production in Flanders and the Euripides Prize from the city of Leuven in 2023. In the same year, he founded LyricLab, with which he directed a successful adaptation of Le Nozze di Figaro. In 2025, he added the Belgian Opera and Operetta Organisation to his portfolio, enabling him to draw on his experience from previous successful companies.
